- Feb 19, 2019-

Woven cotton fabric, which is a combination of woven fabric and cotton fabric from a professional point of view, wherein the woven fabric is a looms which are formed by the weaving of the yarn through the warp and weft directions. Its organization is divided into three categories: plain, twill and satin. Its advantages are firm, stiff and not easily deformed. Woven cotton fabric, which combines the advantages of woven fabric and cotton fabric, and has the characteristics of both fabrics.

1. Terms in woven cotton fabric
Warp direction: the length direction of the fabric.
Warp: This yarn is called warp yarn.
Warp Density: The number of rows of yarn within one inch.
Weft: The width direction of the fabric.
Weft yarn: This yarn can be called a weft yarn.
Weft density: The number of rows of yarns that should be coarse.
Density: used to indicate the number of yarns per unit length of the woven fabric, generally in the range of one inch or ten centimeters, and is the number of yarns, such as 45X45/108X58, which means that the warp weft yarns are 45 respectively. Branches, with a density of 108 and 58.
Width: The effective width of the fabric, which is customarily expressed in inches or centimeters. The more common ones are 36 inches, 44 inches, and 56-60 inches, which are narrow, medium, and wide, respectively, over 60. The inch is extra wide. The specific representation is to add a width after the density representation, such as 45X45/108X58/60, indicating that the width of the fabric is 60 inches.
Gram weight: It is generally the weight of the square fabric weight, and it is an important technical indicator, so it can not be underestimated.
Yarn weaving: refers to dyeing the yarn or filament first and then weaving, and the dyed yarn can be called color yarn, and the fabric is called dyed fabric.

2. Characteristics of woven cotton fabric
(1) It has good hygroscopicity and can maintain the fabric in a horizontal balance, which makes people feel comfortable. In addition, since cotton fiber is a poor conductor of heat and electricity, it has a low heat transfer coefficient and high elasticity, and has good moisture retention.
(2) In terms of heat resistance and alkali resistance, this fabric also has good performance and has good processing properties, and can be processed by dyeing, printing and various processes.
